**INSTALLATION & OTHER NOTES**
The technology utilized in this production demands a great deal from the playback computer in terms of both speed and reliability. Optimal configuration and a fast machine are essential to achieve the best possible performance. The following recommendations will assist you in gaining maximum performance from 'Singletrak Mind':
* There are two versions of 'Singletrak Mind' shipped on the CD. One is for all current Macintosh models, '030 and above. The other is specifically for Power Macintosh models. Do not attempt to play the Power Macintosh version on a standard Mac, as it will not run.
* Make sure your Mac system meets with the following MINIMUM requirements:
A color Macintosh computer (68030 or faster if possible), running System 7.1 or later, with 4 megabytes of application RAM available, QuickTime 2.0 (supplied on this CD), an Apple-compatible double-speed (300Kb/sec) CD-ROM drive or faster, and a 13" or larger monitor capable of displaying at least 256 colors.
* Don't have other applications running at the same time as 'Singletrak Mind'. Turn File Sharing off (in the Sharing Setup control panel). Turn Virtual Memory off, and set the Disk Cache to 128K or less (both in the Memory Control Panel). The 'Singletrak Mind' application will run a check on your machine before starting to ensure general compatibility.
About your Macintosh -
* CD-ROM technology is very demanding, especially when combined with QuickTime video sequences. This presentation will give best results when running on a faster Mac, such as a Centris, Performa, Quadra or Power Macintosh
* A fast CD drive is essential - older drives are rated at 150KB, but newer drives can deliver up to 450KB, and the difference in speed is crucial. If you find that the large video clips are jerky, the speech out of sync, the CD drive could well be the problem.
